First, we learnt all about why insects are so important to our environment. Did you know that for every human being on this earth there are approximately 200 million insects?
Here are two of the bug mansions currently on our school site, which we all went to look at today.
It gave us lots of ideas for what we needed to collect for our own bug hotels. Here we are busy collecting bug friendly materials.
We set to work in class, filling up the inside of a plastic bottle section.
Finished! Now to hang them from the trees in our pond area.
