Creative cards

This year, we decided to allow the children to bring in their own bits and bobs to make their Christmas cards utterly unique. Every single one was wonderfully original.

Party time!

Festive fun has been had by all this afternoon! We've had a team paper chain competition.....

A newspaper fashion show on our class catwalk....

Fan the fish was a hit!

And finally, our 'bad dancing' competition....everyone had a go at showing their 'worst' moves. Have they been inspired by their parents we wonder?!

Thanks for a really fun afternoon, Class 9. Mrs Adams and Mrs Beer really enjoyed watching you enjoying yourself!

Step back in time...

I'm amazed at how detailed these Tudor houses are. Didn't Class 9 do a fantastic job? A wonderful Tudor street scene.

Challah bread

Look at what we had brought into school this morning! It's great when a pupil is inspired by something they've learnt in class. What a lovely surprise to have our very own loaf of Challah bread made. This bread forms part of the Jewish celebration called Shabbat. It was delicious too! Thankyou so much.

Tudor house afternoon

Class 9 have had a busy afternoon learning all about Tudor buildings. While some of us painted some models of Tudor houses, others researched their unique features using an ipad. We even had some children keen to take on the role of estate agents, writing a persuasive piece to entice a client to buy a Tudor house. Terrific!

Clay faces

Class 9 loved making these clay faces as part of their 'Portrait' unit in Art. They have all really enjoyed their Tuesday carousel sessions with Miss Browne.

Dates for the last week of term 2

Well done everyone for a great Term 1 and 2! We are still working hard in the run up to the Christmas break and our classroom is starting to look quite festive now.....

Don't forget, it's the school Christmas lunch on Tuesday 17th December and we plan to have our Class 9 party on the afternoon of the 18th. Please could children bring in a small plate/tub of food for themselves that they can enjoy during the party. This is in addition to their normal packed lunch or school dinner. Children should wear their school uniform for the party, although they are welcome to bring in some festive headgear to wear!

We will be having a non uniform day on Thursday 19th December.

The Christmas service will be held on Friday 20th December at St Peter's Church at 10am.
